RDG wrote about being a redhead today and i have two things to add:
1. asking me the carpet/drapes question pretty much insures that you will NEVER find out firsthand.
2. my mom says that when i was little, people used to touch my hair constantly and that this was not amusing to me. one day she had me at the grocery store and some man patted me on the head and said "what pretty red hair" to which my 3-old-self replied "if you touch me again you're gonna get it".
