I pulled into a parking spot in front of my building around 7:30 this evening. Got out of the car, opened the trunk to get some bags out, when suddenly six squads - marked and unmarked - came flying into the intersection - one car pulled up next to me and I had the following exchange:
Cop: Did you just see a big black dude run past here?
Me: A few people just walked past but no one running...
Cop: You would've noticed him - he had a tshirt on.
Me: Oh, no coat?
Cop: No nothin' except the tshirt.
Me: Uh, no.
Cop: Well, if you see him call 911.
Will do, officers!
