Younger charge, who is sweet-natured but has a temper, was apparently overtaken by Satan today...he threw two very impressive fits before we even left the house -- and then...

We were at the water tables at a children's museum this afternoon and he grabbed something out of a little girl's hand and pushed her down -- which is completely unlike him. I asked him to apologize to her, he refused. I asked him again, he turned to the little girl and screamed, "You STINK!", prompting the little girl to burst into tears...I asked him one more time to apologize, this time under threat of leaving the museum if he didn't...nothing. So I had the pleasant experience of carrying him, kicking and screaming out of the museum. Older charge helpfully added to the mayhem by saying things like "Way to go, J. you just wrecked it for both of us...".

As soon as we were outside the museum, younger charge started sobbing...I KNOW he felt terrible about what he did and I also know that he's feeling the strain of his grandma's illness -- I'm sure the behavior today could at least partly be attributed to that. He's only four and doesn't have the emotional maturity (or vocabulary for that matter) to verbalize what he's feeling...poor little guy.
