The niece is leaving today, right after my sister and her brood arrive. The sis and her family are staying in a rented house about a half-hour out of town but will come here for a bbq before heading out there. I am enjoying having familiar people around...(and kudos to S. for all he is doing...in the midst of horrible work stress...)

Had a run-in with some sulfa drugs yesterday, the result of which is (are?) hives. All over my body. But hey, at least the urinary tract infection isn't bothering me anymore. Har har.

The rain has finally stopped here; Austin broke some long-held record for rainfall over the past month, which means we have lots of mosquitos to keep us company as the weather heats up. Still haven't done anything about the bat boxes. Perhaps this weekend would be a good time to do so.
