Getting married is such a deeply personal thing and I want as little peripheral bullshit as possible diluting that feeling. No, I don't want to sit in a room full of people who don't really know me opening ugly lingerie I'll never wear or dishtowels I don't need and playing idiotic games. People seem to think you're a bad sport or selfish if you don't buy into that crap.
