The church on our block gives out baked goods every Sunday. This morning, S. and I were working in the yard and one of the church members came up to our fence and encouraged us to come over for some free bread. The Chicago me would have said no thanks but in the spirit of southern neighborliness, I said yes and S. and I walked over to pick up some bread.

As the church member showed us what was available, S., eager to get back to work and completely distracted, said, "God damn! This is great!".
