"The Austin Police Department received 565 calls reporting collisions on December 7 and 180 calls reporting collisions from midnight to 10 a.m. on December 8. Austin-Travis County EMS officials said in a press release they responded to 169 accidents between 5 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. Thursday, including 17 rollover crashes, but no serious injuries were reported after midnight."
Yes, ice on the roads is a rare occurrence here. But we all know what ice is, don't we children? Here's a thought: slow the hell down. Don't drive the flyovers when they've been turned into icy launch pads. Driving down Mopac between Wm. Cannon and LaCrosse today I saw no fewer than 8 disabled cars. And by "disabled" I mean "spun off the road by their moronic drivers". Incredible.
