Between lunch and SXSW mayhem yesterday, S. took me to CALLAHAN'S.
Hoo, lordy. Callahan's opened sometime in the 1970's and there are still quite a few products on their shelves that have probably been there since the day they opened. They also have an outrageously-priced section of cowboy-themed housewares ($30 coffee mug, anyone?) and some retro fridges and stoves that, while beautiful, are completely overpriced.
I bought some old bars of soap advertised as being good for anything from laundry to showering (uh, no)
and a totally ghetto hummingbird feeder.
I didn't buy the Coyote Urine
or the Deer Head Hitch Cover
or the GRAMMY'S POT PIE dog food.
But this was so stupid, I was very tempted to buy it and send it to a certain bee-themed lady in Chicago.
