Took younger charge to his first music class this morning - there is nothing more enjoyable to me than watching the pure, spontaneous response most young kids have to music. He was dancing and laughing so hard at one point that he literally fell over. The class is taught at the Austin Lyric Opera and the teachers are fabulous. Such fun!

ACL starts this weekend and we're going to have some houseguests but I plan to try to avoid the festival and crowds. Because that's what crabby old women do. Actually, my tolerance for crowds has never been good. It's always been hard for me to reconcile the fact that in order to see decent live music, I will have to stand sweaty-tit to sweaty-tit with a bunch of other people. Me no likey.
