Bob Keeshan, who played "Captain Kangaroo" on television has died.

Most of you reading this are probably too young to remember the Captain Kangaroo show but for people my age, his show was the "Sesame Street" of its day. Bob Keeshan had a gentle and silly tv demeanor and his show stood out as one of the few of that era that respected kids' natural intellect. I had the pleasure of working with this man for two years during the late 1980's and I am here to say that he was a genuinely good person.
