today i have to have lunch with the grandmother of the kids i take care of. she is a very lovely woman but extremely out of touch with kids. lunch with her is usually a fiasco because she harps on the kids so much about their behavior (which frankly, is pretty good for kids their ages) that they start to feel nervous and act out. but if that's my worst complaint today, i should count myself lucky.
