S. arrives tonight and we will go straight from the airport to the big going-away bash.

Then tomorrow we have to heave ourselves out of bed early to attend a brunch being given in my honor by the charges' grandparents. Half of the brunch attendees will also be at tonight's party --- hangovers will be nursed.
